Introduced in 1970 as the Renntiger, no other Völkl model is as synonymous with performance and success as the Racetiger. The Racetiger SL excels on slalom courses and on piste, in tight turns and wherever lightning-fast edge changes, responsiveness, and consistently superlative glide are required. The Racetiger SL features Tailored Carbon Tips technology. These custom-designed carbon fibers allow the ski to be precisely tailored to its intended use. The strength and alignment of the fibers determine the force applied and the energy stored in exactly the right places, resulting in agile blade reaction with precise response when initiating a turn. The SL can be maneuvered through tighter turns with less power input, but without any loss of precision and control. Its performance is due to the short, flat rocker of the tip and, above all, its geometry in the tip area. The narrow waist offers a very dynamic and responsive ride, with very precise edge changes. These features are perfectly complemented by the 3D.Glass construction, two full layers of Titanal and our renowned Multi-Layer Woodcore, as well as our R-Motion 3 GW binding.
